A man wielding a handgun made off with more than Bt500,000 from the Government Housing Bank’s Bangbon branch at Soi Ekachai 86 in Bangkok on Wednesday at 2.20pm.

The bank’s security guard, Yeunyong Boonmoh, reportedly told Bang Khun Thian police that the gunman hopped over a teller window, grabbed the money and quickly fled.

There were no reports of any injury.

A preliminary investigation from CCTV footage showed a male suspect wearing a grey long-sleeves shirt and a face mask. He was seen fleeing the scene towards Ekachai Road (outbound), but the vehicle he used is still unknown.
